After two glorious days of racing in moderate to fresh south-westerly breezes, with bright sun, the third day of the 2014 Dragon Edinburgh Cup supported by Aberdeen Asset Management will see a change of conditions. At the moment here in the Royal Lymington Yacht Club there’s only around three knots of wind from the north-northwest. This is forecast to increase to around 8-10 knots during the morning, but this afternoon there’s a strong possibility of showers, which may drag the wind into the west. At the moment, teams are leaving the dock, in preparation for being towed out to the start line in Christchurch Bay.
We’re glad you are enjoying it. As always the Dragons are wonderful to write about so it’s a pleasure to be working with the event.

Thank you for your very informative blog. It is a delight for us to follow the Edinburgh cup racing so intimately. We live in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, and our daughter Tamaryn Napp and son in law Johann Napp are crew on Scimitar 755. Greetings Laraine and Colin brown
