At first glance this morning the weather at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club appears similar to yesterday, with bright sun and a fresh gusty north-north westerly breeze. However the wind is predicted to moderate to around 12-15 knots by the time racing gets under way and temperatures are forecast to rise higher than yesterday, reaching 23 Celsius by mid afternoon.
Today’s race is scheduled to start at 1200 and, with it being the fifth in the series, the discard will kick in, which will shake up the overall results, particularly for the four boats that have recorded an OCS or retirement.
