So it looks like the forecasters are off the pace today. As we approach the start time for the third race of the Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust Edinburgh Cup it’s clear that we do not have the 9-17 knots we were promised. Right now as we look down the towards the race area we can see the boats bobbing along in very light airs struggling to get into the race area and reports back from the race committee advise that they have a northerly and south-easterly fighting each other.
We are waiting for the race committee to make a decision as to whether the currently dominant northerly is stable enough for them to start a race in so stand by for further news shortly.
Worst case, our local advisor reliably informs us that the this is not uncommon and with luck we should see things stabilising by lunchtime.
