Good morning and welcome to day two of the Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust Edinburgh Cup in Largs where we are delighted to say that the sun is shining at last! Thanks once again to our roving reporter Alex Dobson for today’s shot down towards the race area that confirms this fact.
We have two more Edinburgh Cup races scheduled today and the forecast suggests that whilst it won’t be as windy today it’s probably still going to be challenging racing. The mean windspeed is giving us around 11-12 knots at first start decreasing to 9 by the second race, but once again it is going to be gusty and shifty. The gusts will be up into the high teens and the wind is likely to clock from south easterly round to south south westerly as the day wears on.
The crews are just starting to ready themselves on the dock so stand by for more later.
